Description
Groot is an extraterrestrial, tree-like creature that was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber, and Dick Ayers that first appeared in Tales to Astonish #13 in November 1960. After many years of assorted appearances in funny books, Groot was reintroduced in 2008 as a heroic member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. In recent years actor Vin Diesel has portrayed the voice acting for the character on the big screens in the films: Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).
